APA is the standard for research and citations for ERAU-Worldwide. It is important to provide clear guidance and expectations to your students regarding APA formatting and how you will be assessing their use of APA formatting in their submissions. To ensure you are prepared to provide high-quality feedback on APA to your students, the Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence has created this self-paced training that you can review to familiarize yourself with the most important elements of APA.

Hunt Library Resources
Visit the Hunt Library’s Citing Sources & Style Manuals : APA Style resource provides guidance on following the American Psychological Association (APA) format and other academic writing styles. Here are some additional resources:
- The OWL APA Style Guide from the Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University. Provides detailed information and example papers in the APA format. It also provides examples for citing sources.
- APA Style is the official website of the APA. It has helpful tutorials and tools for learning APA style, a sample paper, sample reference page, and sample appendices. Check out their blog. It’s run by a group of experts who work with APA Style every day. This is a great place to find additional information about citing sources in APA format. You can even email the experts if you can’t find the correct format.
Note: please do not share this version of the APA tutorial with your students. There is a student-facing version available in the EAGLET Communication Lab in ERNIE – this is the version that you can share with students.
The mission of the Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence is to empower faculty members in their pursuit of professional growth through diverse offerings for the universal goal of student success.
