Newsletter: December 2018

Wrapping up 2018!

Thank you for a great 2018!

Did you know, this year RCTLE offered:

  • 13 live session topics
  • 56 FACD course sections
  • 11 Resource Site Discussions (note: became the RCTLE eUnion in 2020)
  • 2 virtual faculty learning communities

While we aren’t offering any FACD courses or live sessions in December, we are hard at work on next year’s offerings.

We hope you enjoy the rest of 2018 with your family and friends, and we look forward to supporting you in 2019.

December tends to be a particularly busy time of year for everyone. It may help to remind students to plan ahead, or maybe you need some reminding for yourself to plan ahead.  We can all get lost in the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  During this season of giving, think about how you serve your students. Jim Lang says the answer should always be with compassion. He discovered that sometimes his own words created a barrier to learning, and reminded him that the people on the other side of the LMS system are humans too.

We will NOT have office hours for the month of December.

But don’t fret! RCTLE is still here to talk to you. Please fill out the consultation form and we will get back to you ASAP!

Also, we always have pinned discussions on how you handle feedback, resources for teaching APA, and suggestions for future RCTLE offerings on the RCTLE eUnion. Check it out!

Reminder

ERAU Winter Holiday closings are from December 24, 2018, to January 1, 2019. Offices will open again on January 2, 2019.

If you’re teaching in the November or December terms, don’t forget that your due dates have been adjusted to accommodate for Winter Break. Also, it’s always helpful to continue checking your email during this time if possible!
