The Bruce A. Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (RCTLE) provides several self-paced workshops. These are available to all ERAU-W faculty and can be completed in 2-4 hours. Each workshop focuses on specific topics in teaching and technology.

Video Use for Beginners

This workshop covers the basic skills for video. The skills from this SPW will support you incorporating the use of video more often in your course(s), as encouraged in the FAC-10 of the POM. This Self-Paced Workshop will also prepare you to complete the Advanced Use of Video Self-Paced Workshop.

Time: requires 2-4 hours to complete, depending on your level of competency.


Advanced Uses for Video

Review current data supporting the use of videos in the classroom, plan how videos fit into your own instructional plans and practice using some of the available tools. The skills you will practice in this SPW will support you as you incorporate the use of video more often in your course(s), as encouraged in the ERAU-W FAC-10 – Faculty Academic Quality Standards (FAQs).

Time: Plan to spend about 4 hours reviewing the materials and completing the activities.

Prerequisites: Video Use for Beginners.


Zoom Resource

Enroll

Zoom is conferencing software available for all university faculty and students. Use it for teaching classes, web conferencing, and hosting meetings. It is integrated with Canvas.

Time: requires 2-4 hours to complete, depending on your level of competency.


Generations in the Classroom

This self-paced workshop will focus on faculty identifying and understanding different generations that may appear in the online classroom. The information from this workshop will support you with being present and active in your course(s) while engaging your students.
