Student feedback should include comments addressing all assignment requirements and rubric categories when possible. Feedback tools available in Canvas, including Turnitin, can help an instructor effectively provide detailed comments addressing each students’ submission.
Turnitin is a tool that can be used to provide constructive feedback for student work by highlighting areas of a submission that resemble internet resources, submissions from other students, etc. The tool creates a similarity report that can be reviewed and referred by the instructor when providing feedback or addressing academic integrity concerns.
See our tip sheet Interpreting The Similarity Report for step-by-step instructions.
